The Love Song – Donovan
06/09/2010
This song starts with an awesome intro based on a great riff and then transforms into a silly love song. I was curious what chords such a silly number could have, so I tabbed it. Maybe it will appease your curiosity someday. :P

thank you so much man. i had the same curiosity and this definitely satisfied it :D
This site is awesome, thank you!! Any chance you could do To Sing for You/Donovan?
why are the lyrics wrong on EVERY posting of this song???! who is responsible? the first verse is “I’m not very flimsy, I’m not made of air. I’m not what they say I am, I’m merely here.” Please!
That’s probably because incorrect lyrics were first posted on some website and were then copied all over the Internet.
But it seems those two lines are not the only wrong ones. I listened closely and I think “Give me for sometimes I wanted to” is not quite right (and I have no idea how to correct it) and also there should be “she would” instead of “she could” in “She could see the stars if she’s looking up”.
When I first set eyes on her I wanted to
Take her to the woods and show her what to do
;)
